Best Mountain Bike (MTB) and Downhill Games for Mobile (2026)

Mountain bike and downhill games for Android and iPhone compared: Shred! 2, Shred! Remastered, Mtb DownHill Bike, Descenders and Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D, and what each one is best for.

Two downhill mountain bikes from Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D

The best mountain bike game for your phone depends on what you want from a downhill run. Shred! 2 and Shred! Remastered are skill-based downhill games, Mtb DownHill Bike: Multiplayer adds forest maps and racing against others, Descenders is a premium procedural downhill game, and Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D, our own game, is a city and stunt game with downhill-style MTB bikes in the garage. This guide compares them.

We make Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D, so it is on the list and we are biased. We say plainly what it is and what it is not. The other games are described from their store listings and, where noted, from press, as read on 31 October 2026.

Shred! 2

Best for: players who want tricks and combos on downhill courses. Made by ASBO Interactive and featuring rider Sam Pilgrim. The App Store listing describes a trick and combo system, 40+ levels and 200+ challenges, official Canyon bikes plus customizable bikes, Bluetooth controller support and leaderboards. Price differs by store: free with in-app purchases on the App Store, while trackers list a small price on Google Play, so check yours.

Shred! Remastered - MTB

Best for: classic downhill courses. Made by ASBO Interactive. 30+ hand-built downhill courses, a "pump" mechanic, licensed MTB brands, scalable graphics and controller support. It is free with in-app purchases and ads. We found it on iPhone and iPad.

Mtb DownHill Bike: Multiplayer

Best for: forest maps and racing other riders. Made by AppForge. Multiplayer racing with friends and worldwide, single-player timed races, 20+ forest maps, four weather types, bike and rider-outfit customization and a head-cam view. The listing says it can be played without WiFi. It is free with in-app purchases.

Descenders

Best for: players who like a premium game and procedural trails. Made by RageSquid, ported to mobile by Noodlecake in August 2022. Procedurally generated downhill levels and gear you earn and unlock. Press reported a one-time price of about $10 at launch; it has no in-app purchases. Check the store for the current price and your device.

Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D

Best for: a mix of bike types, an open city and offline play, with MTB bikes among them. Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D is a realistic 3D bicycle game with BMX, MTB, fixie, road, race and time trial bikes. The garage includes downhill-style mountain bikes. You ride an open city with real traffic, chain backflips, wheelies and big jumps, customize and upgrade bikes, play career missions and race real riders online. Career mode, stunts and the whole city work completely offline. Free to download with optional in-app purchases and ads, on Android and iOS. It is not a pure downhill trail game. If your priority is trail courses, start with Shred! or Mtb DownHill Bike. If you want variety and a city to explore, try Bicycle Extreme Rider 3D. See fixie, MTB and BMX in the game and our customization guide.

Also worth checking

Bike Unchained 2 (Red Bull) is a well-known downhill and slopestyle game with online leagues. We could not confirm that it is still on the stores in 2026, so look for it in your store before you plan around it.
